Content Acquisitions & Original Productions Coordinator
Are you passionate about independent cinema? Do you have a knack for identifying talented filmmakers and compelling stories? We are seeking a visionary Content Acquisitions & Original Productions Coordinator to join our team at a film distribution company. As the Original Productions coordinator, you will play a crucial role in curating and cultivating a diverse slate of original films, showcasing emerging voices and innovative storytelling.
Responsibilities:
· Lead the development and execution of the company’s original productions strategy, ensuring a strong and unique brand identity.
· Identify and evaluate potential projects for acquisition, working closely with filmmakers, agents, and industry professionals to secure compelling content.
· Read scripts and provide summaries
· Oversee the entire lifecycle of original productions, from development to production and distribution, ensuring projects are completed within budget and on schedule.
· Collaborate with the production team, providing creative guidance and fostering an environment that encourages innovation and artistic excellence.
· Conduct market research and stay up-to-date with industry trends, identifying opportunities for the company to expand its original content portfolio.
· Build and maintain relationships with industry professionals, including filmmakers, writers, and producers, establishing the company as a go-to destination for original independent films.
· Develop and manage budgets for original productions, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost-effective decision-making.
· Write film descriptions in corresponding character setups
· Take phone calls, meetings pertaining to acquisitions, productions
· Performing administrative tasks and handling other assignments as directed.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
· An interest in film and a keen understanding of the industry landscape.
· Proven experience in a similar role, with a track record of successful acquisitions and/or productions of independent films.
· Excellent creative and analytical skills, with the ability to identify unique and marketable projects.
· Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
· Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage and persuade stakeholders.
· Proficiency in project management and budgeting.
· Experience working with Microsoft office

Love television, film, and/or fashion? If so, we have an exciting opportunity available within our all-inclusive film, TV, and still photography location scouting & management company. We are seeking a full-time Office Production Assistant to support the company and join our team. We are looking to fill this position immediately and will train the ideal, well-qualified candidate. We give high-level training to prepare you for working in the photo/film industry.
This is a hybrid position in which the ideal candidate will work remotely, as well as out of our Miami Beach office. The applicant must have a suitable area to work with high-speed internet and good cell phone reception. This position will offer valuable experience and is a great opportunity to gain a unique perspective of the ins-and-outs of the vibrant South Florida production industry.
Necessary skills and qualities:
• Administrative experience
• Production/set experience (may be school experience)
• Strong professional communication skills (verbal and written)
• Extremely detail oriented and organized
• Proficient computer skills (Mac-preferred) such as Microsoft Office Suite
• Must be a capable and disciplined multi-tasker with effective time-management skills
• Willing to work beyond normal business hours
• Reliable transportation (garage parking will be provided)
Preferred skills and qualities:
• Local knowledge of South Florida and architectural/design styles/concepts.
• Analytical thinking skills
• Bilingual in English/Spanish (verbal and written professional proficiency in both languages)
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Office administrative tasks and other office needs
• Going on runs, including but not limited to visiting film offices and delivering documents (IRS
mileage allowance paid for any business run)
• Assisting staff with location coordination needs of our production clients
Hours and Time Off: Full-time; hours are typically 10am to 6pm, with some minor work after hours for
production. Paid time off: 5 days per year, plus major holidays.

- Minimum 1-year real production/set experience (not including student films or spec projects)
- Strong professional communication skills (written and verbal)

- Effective time management skills
- Creative personality, a plus

Freelance TV Production Audio Engineer Opportunities
Freelance Television Production Audio Engineer opportunities are occasionally available for South Florida PBS productions. This freelance position is responsible for ensuring high-quality audio during live and prerecorded television broadcasts. Responsibilities include configuring and setting up microphones, audio mixers, amplifiers, and other equipment required for the broadcast. Performs sound checks before the live broadcast to ensure audio levels are balanced and clear. Controls and adjusts audio levels during the broadcast to maintain clarity and consistency. This includes mixing audio from various sources, such as microphones, pre-recorded segments, and music. Proficiency in operating audio equipment and software is essential. Knowledge of industry-standard audio consoles, microphones, signal processing equipment, and digital audio workstations (DAWs) is a must. Must be reliable, organized, and self-motivated.
