Greater Fort Lauderdale Heats Up Florida’s Incentive Landscape

Broward County, FL – Film Lauderdale is excited to announce significant increases to two of its incentive program rebates, aimed at attracting more production projects to Broward County and creating greater opportunities for the local workforce. Despite the absence of state incentives in Florida, Greater Fort Lauderdale continues to lead the way with robust incentives in the state.

The updated incentive programs now include a 20% rebate for both the Film & TV and High Impact Film & TV programs, an increase from the previous cap of 15%. These programs are now the second highest rebate offerings from Film Lauderdale, following closely behind the Multiple Projects Program, which offers a generous 30% rebate.

“Increases to the incentive program rebates will give a wide array of opportunities to attract more screen production to Broward County,” said Sandy Lighterman, Film Commissioner of Film Lauderdale. “Broward County has the largest percentage rebate for screen production in the state and with these innovative approaches for attracting projects, we are the best destination for production.”

The new offerings are slated to go into effect beginning August 11th, 2024.
