Film Lauderdale Emerging Filmmakers Grant

The Emerging Filmmakers Grant seeks to provide a funding resource to Broward County-based filmmakers to produce individual projects, with eligibility based on a set of Broward County-centric criteria. After an application has been approved, a grant of $10,000 will be distributed in four quarterly payments (subject to appropriation each fiscal year) after meeting all required criteria in phases of pre-production, production, post-production, and completed project.

Broward County Cultural Division Grants

The Broward County Cultural Division offers a variety of grants that local artists, some of which are applicable to video-related projects, including the Artist Support GrantArtist Innovation Grant, and South Florida Cultural Consortium Grant.

Film Florida Don Davis Finishing Fund

The Don Davis Film Finishing Fund annually provides cash and in-kind production services to deserving filmmakers needing help to complete their film projects. The program funds filmmakers working in both short and long formats in all genres- documentary, dramatic, educational, narrative, animated and experimental- whose films demonstrate advanced and innovative skills and whose works relates to the goals of Film Florida. This is done through an annual judging processing. *For Film Florida members only.

Film Florida Emerging Filmmakers Fund

The Florida Emerging Filmmakers Fund provides cash in the amount of $1,000 – $2,000 per project to deserving filmmakers needing help for their film projects. In addition to cash, projects selected for the Emerging Filmmakers Fund will receive mentorship from an industry professional throughout the project. Eligible projects submitted may include a broad range of subject matter and are judged by a committee of top industry professionals within Film Florida. *For Film Florida members only.

Roy W. Dean Film Grants

The Roy W. Dean Film Grant funds short films, documentaries, and independent features, and web series that are budgeted under $500,000. They must be films that are unique and make a contribution to society. Grants include Spring Grant, Short Film Grant, Summer Grant, and Fall Grant.

Women in Film & Television – FL Short Film Finishing Fund Grant

The Short Film Finishing Fund Grant is presented to a current WIFT-FL member to help complete an existing short film project. The award amount is determined by the WIFT-FL Scholastic Grant Fund Committee presiding over the grant cycle calendar year. Only one (1) project per applicant for each grant cycle is permitted. *For WIFT-FL members only.
