Broward County, FL – Film Lauderdale is launching a new menu featuring multiple incentive programs for the screen industry, with options aimed to entice more production projects to Broward County. New offerings include: the Multiple Project Guarantee, Partial Project Program, and TV Commercial Attraction Program. These new selections are in addition to the Film and TV Incentive launched in June 2022 and the Special Projects Incentive launched in April this year.
“The new incentive menu will give a wide array of opportunities to attract more screen production to Broward County,” said Sandy Lighterman, Film Commissioner of Film Lauderdale. “Broward County already has the largest fund for screen production in the state and with these innovative approaches for attracting projects, we are the best destination for production.”
“The growth of the film and television industry brings an abundance of economic impact and job creation for small businesses and local residents. By diversifying the incentive offerings in Broward County, we look forward to attracting more high-wage, high-skill opportunities to our community,” said Director of the Office of Economic and Small Business Development, Sandy-Michael McDonald.
“Our mission is clear: to establish Broward County as the most film-friendly and sought-after area for the global film and television industry to bring their projects,” said Broward County Commissioner / Former Florida Senator Steve Geller.
Film Lauderdale will begin accepting applications on November 1, 2023.
